About Astra

Astra is a daily tarot app made for reflection. It offers a card for the day, yes or no readings, simple spreads and plain-language meanings for all 78 cards. It is made by Haaatch.

How are Astra's card meanings written?

Every card page follows the same editorial method:

  1. Start from the image. We describe what is actually drawn on the Rider-Waite-Smith card, because Pamela Colman Smith's illustrations are the reference most readers learn from.
  2. Check the tradition. Meanings are checked against A. E. Waite's 1910 book The Pictorial Key to the Tarot and the Golden Dawn correspondences for numbers, elements and astrology.
  3. Write for real questions. Each page answers the questions people actually ask: upright, reversed, love, feelings, career, money and yes or no.
  4. Keep it reflective. We write meanings as prompts for thought, never as predictions or advice.
  5. Review before publishing. Each page is read for accuracy, clarity and our safety rules before it goes live, and is updated when we improve it.
